Sustainability at VORTELLA

As a family business, ethical behavior is one of the most important foundations of our daily work. We have highlighted this foundation by becoming a member of Sedex, which is an internationally recognized database platform that makes an important contribution to transparency in the sustainable social commitment of companies. In addition, we successfully completed the SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) in November 2013 according to the Base Code of Ethical Trade and received the Letter of Conformity .

The focus of our activities is the satisfaction and safety of our employees. In addition, surveys of our suppliers are conducted on ethical principles .

We see environmental as a commitment to society and our descendants. New projects are constantly being implemented in order to reduce energy, packaging, fuel consumption, etc. We offer our customers a comprehensive range of organic products . The raw materials and ingredients are derived from controlled organic farming, which protects the ecology as a whole.

We have decided to join the RSPO (Round Table of Sustainable Palm Oil) to actively promote the use of sustainable and certified palm oil . The goal is to work together with our customers mainly SG palm oil * in all VORTELLA margarines and fats.

Sustainable economics and a healthy economy are, of course, in our own interest as a long-term family business in order to continue to invest successfully in sustainable projects .

* Segregation - At each stage along the supply chain, certified palm oil should remain separate from non-certified.In this case, the final product would actually only contain certified palm oil, which however may come from different certified sources.
